No mixing of gas and oil required. Soft sure-grip ergonomic handles fold for easy storage. I bought this because my wife had one a few years ago and thought it was great. I thought it was worthless.

So the new one is the 4 cycle version which makes using it more convenient. It works well in soft soil with no rocks. Unfortunately, we have hard soil with way too many rocks.

Still, it's useful in flower beds and as final prep for planting. Didn't work quite as good as I would've liked, but plenty powerful and will work great for smaller gardens. I bought this because it takes up little space when not in use.

I'm happy with it, just wished it would have dug down further before bottoming out. I have some very tough ground and this tiller has pulverized and made my areas plantable. I like the fact that the tiller is lightweight. The tines are easy to remove.

So easy to use, the kids are using it. Now the kids use it more than I do. I bought tiller to improve our garden spot (hard, rocky soil). Used tractor to turn and disc, now using Mantis to work soil between planted rows and control weeds. Mantis kicked up the small rocks, making easy to remove.

I anticipate the garden soil becoming better each year I can use the Mantis for planting. Great machine - greater engine.

I have used this engine on my Versattach and it is a pleasure to use. No mixing, easy oil changes, a pleasure to work with. Last thing - really consider what you are going to use this for - the wider unit was of interest to me but the cost differential was not.

Thus far, this smaller unit fills all of my needs in a suburb of New York City (1/4 acre). Just right for planting beds and my new sea;; veggie garden.

Nomonclaature on start switch was misunderstood so it was at first hard starting. Now that we have that issue squared away its been a nice compact machine. Great Tiller for Small Gardens and Flower Beds. I use this product for soil that has never been tilled.
